Queen’s Crescent, Kentish Town

Value: £1,400,000

Client: Linton

Status: Complete 2016

Use: Mixed (5 No. Residential + Commercial)

The demolition and rebuild of an end-of-terrace butcher shop in Kentish Town to create five new one and two bedroom apartments and duplex commercial unit.

Brought to JAA post-planning, we carried out the detail design and construction of the project (RIBA Stages 3 – 6). Despite it’s traditional appearance, the site works included complex propping of the remaining Victorian terrace in order to facilitate demolition, excavating and forming a new basement, a temporary-to-permanent steel frame along the party wall, and the requirement to meet stringent Code for Sustainable Homes Level 4.
